Enjoy the festive events and fireworks happening in our beloved local communities this 4th of July Holiday. Whether you’re in New Hampshire or Maine, we’ve got you covered with the best Independence Day celebrations.
Below are some of my favorite events and fireworks shows. All have their own unique flair whether you are looking for low key or all out spectacular.
Laconia, NH: Head to Weirs Beach for a day full of fun and festivities! Starting with a patriotic parade at 11 AM, the celebrations will continue with live music, food vendors, and kids’ activities. As the sun sets, get ready for a spectacular fireworks display over the lake at 9:30 PM.
Meredith, NH: Celebrate in beautiful Meredith with a family-friendly day of activities at Hesky Park. Enjoy live music, local food trucks, and an artisan market. The evening will culminate with fireworks over Lake Winnipesaukee at 9:30 PM.
Wolfeboro, NH: Known as “America’s Oldest Summer Resort,” Wolfeboro offers a full day of festivities, including a boat parade at 2 PM, live music at the town docks, and a grand fireworks finale over the lake at 9:30 PM.
Bristol, NH: Join the fun at Kelley Park with a community cookout, kids’ games, and live music. Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks show over Newfound Lake at 9:30 PM.
Concord, NH: Celebrate the 4th in the capital city with a parade at 10 AM followed by a family festival at Memorial Field. Enjoy live entertainment, food vendors, and a fantastic fireworks display at dusk.
Dover, NH: Join the community at Henry Law Park for a fun-filled day of festivities, including live performances, food trucks, and family activities. The evening will wrap up with a beautiful fireworks display at 9:15 PM.
Hampton, NH: Hampton Beach will be bustling with activity! Spend the day enjoying the beach, and then head to the Seashell Stage for live music in the evening. The fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean will start at 9:30 PM, providing a stunning end to the day.
Portsmouth, NH: Prescott Park will host a festive celebration featuring live music, local food vendors, and a variety of family-friendly activities. The grand fireworks show over the Piscataqua River will begin at 9:15 PM.
Kittery, ME: Celebrate Independence Day at Fort Foster Park with a day of beach fun, picnicking, and live music. The fireworks show over the harbor will start at 9 PM.
York, ME: York’s Short Sands Beach is the place to be! Enjoy a day at the beach followed by live entertainment and a stunning fireworks display at 9:30 PM.
Ogunquit, ME: This charming coastal town will host its festivities at Main Beach. Enjoy a day of sun and sand, then gather for live music and a fireworks show at 9:15 PM.
Wells, ME: Wells Harbor Park will be alive with activities, including live music, local food vendors, and a variety of family-friendly games. The fireworks will light up the sky at 9 PM.
